This group is meant to fill the surprising dearth of regularly meeting pagan/wiccan groups in the Berkeley/Oakland area. We celebrate and practice some of the cultural traditions of Celtic and Gaelic origin, including gaining a better understanding of nature by exploring seasonal change. This group is for anyone interested in studying Irish with other Irish learners in the south bay. All levels are welcome. My current focus is to study for the TEG A1 (Teastas Eorpach na Gaeilge - The European Certificate in Irish) and it would be nice to have others to practice Irish with in the south bay.
Set dancing is fun and easy to learn; this is not the performance style dancing you may have seen on "Riverdance." It is a social form of folk dancing that is very beginner friendly, but is also engaging enough to appeal to experienced dancers.
