The North Texas Irish Festival will be held March 6th through 8th, 2009, at Fair Park, in Dallas. On Feb. 21st at Fiddler's Hearth, 301 Barton Springs Rd., Austin, The Emergency Services Pipe and Drum Association (aka ESPADA) will be having a concert starting at 9pm. The concert is a fund raiser for "Project Children". Please note that the date for this event is Feb. 21st, not Feb. 20th as previously announced. Sorry for the confusion.

Project Children was created by 2 NYPD officers (also Native to Ireland) in the 1970's. Their goal was to ease the tensions between the Catholics and the Protestants by bringing these children to America and interact, with each other, in a postive manner. The funding solely comes from fund raising and each state is responsible to raise it's own funds.

Come to Fiddler's Hearth; enjoy some Celtic food, listen to some bagpipes and take part in a worthwhile cause. To learn more about Project Children visit their website at: http://www.projectchi....
