This month's movie selection will be The Wind That Shakes the Barley (the sequel to Michael Collins which we watched last time.) i'll be providing popcorn, i'm sure Fin will have some booze around if desired, or coke, diet coke, or water etc. If you feel like bringing something to share with people then by all means do, if not, just show up :) when you rsvp please let us know if you'll be bringing anything and if not, what your drink preference is so we make sure to have some refreshments available.

Ireland, 1920. Damien and Teddy are brothers. But while the latter is already the leader of a guerrilla squad fighting for the independence of his motherland, Damien, a medical graduate of University College, would rather further his training at the London hospital where he has found a place. However, shortly before his departure, he happens to witness atrocities committed by the ferocious Black and Tans and finally decides to join the resistance group led by Teddy. The two brothers fight side by side until a truce is signed. But peace is short-lived and when one faction of the freedom-fighters accepts a treaty with the British that is regarded as unfair by the other faction, a civil war ensues, pitting Irishmen against Irishmen, brothers against brothers, Teddy against Damien....

AUSTIN CELTIC FESTIVAL

The 13th Austin Celtic Festival will be held November 7th and 8th, 2009, 11AM to 8PM, at Fiesta Gardens (on the north shore of Ladybird Lake.) Advance tickets can be purchased online only, via the festival website, at the rate of $10.00 per day. If you buy your tickets at the gate (cash or check only), admission is $12.00 per day. All children under 12 years old are admitted free. Advance sale tickets are only available until November 5th.

David made a very good point. when you rsvp if you could make a comment what time you're able to come (between 11am and 8pm) so the organizers know when to be at the event that would be helpful!
